The beauty of SNAPS lies not only in the flow and movement of the leather straps and hand-carved alabaster stone, but in its versatility. Both modular and scalable, SNAPS is a lighting system that can adapt to and enhance any space. With five basic products, plus optional extension straps (4 additional straps in 2 different lengths, offered with and without LED alabaster modules) to create longer lengths or more intricate designs, and an array of custom leather options from which to choose, SNAPS can be configured to create a design that is uniquely yours.

"The creative process at Hubbardton Forge is one of exploration and discovery. I can take my time to find the perfect materials and build my own prototypes. The challenge was to reimagine what lighting could be, using creative design and unexpected materials. With SNAPS, I was able to push the boundaries of what's possible with innovative ways of using LEDs and leather to create something entirely new."
The System
The SNAPS system consists of leather straps, LED modules, alabaster diffusers, and multiple mounting solutions. This design allows you to create limitless shapes and configurations by combining these common elements in various ways. Each product comes with mounts to secure the strap or LED module to the ceiling, giving you the flexibility to swag the leather or let the alabaster/LED module hang vertically. The leather segments snap together effortlessly, making it simple to add additional segments that can be purchased separately to expand and transform your fixture to fill any space. It's easy to add more lights and configure the product to suit your design. This versatility is the core idea behind the SNAPS Collection.

Leather Partnership
We worked with Appalachian Stitching in nearby Littleton, NH to develop an innovative way to incorporate conductive material within the stitched leather components allowing SNAPS to be lit without any visible means of electricity.

Working together with LEDdynamics, Hubbardton Forge is able to explore innovative ground-breaking applications of high-quality LED engineered and manufactured at their facility in Randolph, Vermont.
